Sony Xperia was previously known as Sony Ericsson Xperia but the name was changed to Sony Xperia in 2012. The Sony Ericsson phones before were not touch and they lack features that other competitors were providing.

So Sony released its first Xperia smartphone called Sony Xperia X1 in 2008. The very first smartphone had windows OS built-in and high resolution display.

The Xperia Pureness was released before 2010 that features no camera and made for specific regions. In 2010 Sony Xperia made its first Android smartphone called Xperia X10.

The Xperia X10 was praised because of the beautiful design but the downfall was the old android version than the competitors. Sony Xperia X10 mini pro and Xperia mini were the next in the line.

These smartphones were very small in size comparing to other phones and became very popular because there was no other Android smartphone with screen like these two phones.

Xperia built one of the very first water resistant smartphone. The Xperia smartphone with water resistant technology became very popular. The Xperia made many smartphones since then and many smartphones were popular too.

But the Xperia’s one of the most promising smartphone was Xperia Z that was released in 2013. Sony Xperia Z was truly a game changer with the sleek stylish design, amazing performance and superb cameras.

Xperia Z-series is the high-end smartphone series capable of competing with any other competitors in the market. The Xperia Z1 was released in the same year as Xperia Z but it had many updated features over Xperia X.

Next in Z-series was Z2 that was more updated and amazing then the predecessors. After the Z2, Xperia Z3 was released that was a huge success due to its amazing design and top-notch features.

Sony Xperia Z4 was the next release and that was amazing too and Sony Xperia Z5 is the latest in Z-series with all the high-end features and giving tough competition to other high-end smartphones in the market.
